Frequently Asked Questions

How can I best stay informed of what is going on?
We do our best to keep our website as up to date as possible, however its always a good idea to have your coaches and teammates contact information for last minute questions and/or changes. Your coach will communicate directly with you about practice days/times/location and game days/times/location.

How do I know if I made a team?
If you make a team we will notify you by email within 5-10 days. There is the possibility that we contact you and ask you to come back for another tryout. We do not charge you another $25 for that. And in the event that you do not make a team we do our best to notify you within that same 5-10 days.

What do practices look like?
Our practices are well organized and structured to balance fundamentals and team play. Our primary focus is player development. Practice dates, times, and location will be determined by your coach. It will be a regular schedule so that you can plan accordingly. However, please be flexible and patient because on occasion we might have to switch a day or time due to unforeseen circumstances.

Do I have to attend practice?
YES!! Your coach has no obligation to play you if you are not attending practice. We expect you to make a commitment to attend every practice. The occasional miss is understandable and you are expected to communicate that with your coach. Same for games.

What does the tournament schedule look like?
The dates will be set before the season starts and posted on our website. Please block off Friday, Saturday, Sunday of those weekends. Tournaments will be selected as the season progresses so that we can keep each team in the most competitive situation possible. We don't want to win games by 40 or lose by 40 although that can and will happen on occasion.

Where are the tournaments?
All of the tournaments are in the DFW area, with most of them in Mansfield, Grapevine, Carrollton, and Frisco, as these areas tend to have the larger facilities. Other tournament sites include Duncanville, Desoto, Arlington, and Denton. We are also looking into possibly adding farther tournaments in places like Oklahoma City (OKC) or Houston.

What are the gate fees at the tournaments?
The gate fees (entrance fee for spectators) at the tournaments have increased significantly in the last few years. Be prepared to pay $10 - $30 per person for a tournament pass.

When will the specific game times and locations be known?
We usually receive the tournament schedule on Tuesday or Wednesday the week of a tournament. Us coaches will communicate that to you as soon as we get it.

What if my son/daughter is injured and cannot complete the season?
We will not be able to refund any of your money because the expenses of running the team stay the same. However, we will work with you to find a replacement who can fill your spot and pick up your expenses.
What about playing time?
Our philosophy on playing time is that all kids will play but it won't always be equal. Playing time is up to the coaches and is based on ability, game situation, work ethic, coachability, practice attendance and any other factors the coach wishes to consider.
